Congratulations to the DDZ Team! Thats the best news I've heard in a long time! Onwards and upwards! Tim
Congrats Steve, BTW, I have been noticing lately the length of membership on zoochat and the least number of posts by that member. orbe l think you must br the winner of the quiet achiever award! and Jones a close second.
I just have an interest and thirst for zoo information, but don't have much to offer back as I don't work in the industry or really know many in the industry! And I haven't made many zoo visits in the last couple of years either to find out any stuff! Its nice to be noticed though! Thanks!
Thank you Mr J for posting this long awaited news. Thank you also to all of you for your supportive posts here and to all the people who have contacted us directly. Your support means a lot to us. A special thanks to our peers for their support. Of the people who publicly post on ZooChat, MRJ and ZooPro in particular have both given us valuable advice along the way. Also, we are very grateful that two, not the required one, accredited ZAA members saw fit to endorse our application. We are certainly very satisfied that we have been admitted to ZAA but we need to remember that, to paraphrase MRJ on another thread, this is ZAA Lite. We will not be permitted to have any meaningful participation in any ASMP programs. We will have to serve an apprenticeship as Associate Members for at least one year before being able to apply for Accreditation as Full Members. However, this probationary period will be a useful learning period for us, Already I am impressed with the amount of information that comes out of the ZAA office. The ASMP people, in particular, deliver a staggering work load. Keeping up with them is going to be a challenge! Thanks again everyone. Steve and Steph.
