"Those sakis" - Chiropotes chiropotes - are on show at both Belfast and, not far from Kent, at Colchester. I believe that the animals came from RSCC; those at Colchester have subsequently bred.

One Dusky Pademelon is now on show.
Another female clouded leopard has also been born and is ~4 weeks old now. She is not related to the 10 week old male and they plan to pair the two of them.

A pair of binturongs were due to leave on Wednesday but I don't know where they went.

There are plans for the young banded palm civet to go on show on the deck outside the cafe but no enclosure has been built yet.

Quite possibly Axe Wildlife Park? This collection has very recently received Palawan Binturong.

    No.
The bridge to the aardwolf enclosure is blocked off, it looks like they're rebuilding/fixing it.
It's been like that since they reopened but it looks like they're prioritising the giant otter enclosure and the education centre.

I´m going to stay this summer in Sandwich for a couple of weeks and i´ll spend several days at the RSCC. ¿Are the giant otters already in the park? ¿And the king bird of paradise?

Also.. Is it easy going from the train station to the RSCC on foot?. If there is anyone from Sandwich here please, send me a PM because i´ve got several questions about sandwich

    Thank you!

The otters are not there yet. I believe there was some sort of hold up with the other zoo and when I went a couple of weeks ago the enclosure wasn't quite finished. I may be now though.
The birds are not on show.

It's a fairly short walk. You can check the route and approximate timings on Google Maps.

You would only need a day, if you got there early and left before closing you would see everything on show as you could return to the enclosures continually, the other days you could then use to visit wingham wildlife park and howletts that are both very close by !

I believe it is just under a mile to walk from train station to RSCC. It is definitely doable, because I walked from RSCC to my hotel on the quay which was past the train station.

The male clouded leopard cub is now on show where the young binturong was.
The binturong been moved, possibly to the large enclosure opposite the sun bears but I didn't see him.

Not sure if I mentioned but another female clouded leopard has been born. She's ~2 months old now and unrelated to the male so they plan to pair them up.
Another 2 binturong have also been born this month, no idea on sex though.

Forgive my ignorance, but was'nt this place going out of business a few years ago? Fair play to it, it seems to be going from strength-to-strength!

    What happened?

It closed for some years, and slowly rebuilt as a private collection before re-opening as a public collection last year.

Sad news from Zoo Halle. Yesterday, malayan tiger Somphon surprisingly attack tigress Momoe during a mating session and injured her. Keepers could seperate them but Momoe died this morning. :(
