If anyone can help me, I'm doing a personal research analysis on European zoos, including CERZA. For my reseach, I need the following animal collection statistics:

    #Species #Animals
    Mammals
    Birds
    Reptiles
    Amphibians
    Fish
    Invertebrates

I also need the most recent estimate of the Zoo's annual Attendance.

Is there some website where these numbers are available for the French zoos? I've tried contacting the zoo but haven't yet heard back from them.

I find some info about the Cerza and it's collection.

in 2011, the Cerza wellcoed about 310 000 visitors. 43 person worked yearly there.

With the last arrivals, you can find in this park about 800 animals from 100 species (approximatly 56 mammals species; 33 birds species; 3 reptiles species and 7 fish species). I think some amphibians and batracians species must missed here.

Very nice to hear about the Bear cubs - not many cubs are being produced nowadays, and with only Chester, Belfast and South Lakes holding them in the UK things aren't looking good especially at SL where they have four Bears (1.3) with no cubbing den, suitable facilities for a 'breeding pair/group'. Not heard much about Belfast although things look well, Chester's have been separate for a bit so I don't know about them.

Well done to Maguari - always has something to pull out of the hat. ;)

The bears at Cerza are kept in a very nice large wooded enclosure surrounded by an electric fence. They have bred them before.

Always nice to hear they have a big area and it's wooded! - Do you know which year they bred?

I visited in 2008 and there were half grown cubs, 2 or 3 I can't remember. I haven't got any further information about the bears.

CERZA is very close to the Channel port of Caen so if travelling to France on the ferry you can easily visit it - it's well worth it.

Same thing: the answer is late, but here it is !

There is a small "arctic village" close to the polar bear exhibit.
