I forgot to mention that some of the eastern diamondbacks have moved in with the Mexican west coast rattlesnakes in the Reptile House. The green tree python was moved into the Asian vine snake exhibit and the vine snakes are not on display. Other animals in the top exhibit moved across from each other.

What are in the photos you took, are they animals or some exhibits?

I have some of both animals and exhibits. I believe there are even some of the old outdoor penguin exhibit and the old lemur exhibits near the bear grottos.

    Highly doubt it
    1. the zoo just got her
    2. they said that they would attain a male around this time and they also said they would breed them using AI for the first time on an aye-aye
    3. I think getting rid of an aye-aye would be a bummer to the zoo and the guests.
    4. The only civet in captivity at the Cin zoo is gone:eek:?

as far as the zoo has told us, they will acquire a new female gorilla in the spring named Asha to breed with Jomo. They will also get Malayan tigers and snow leopards for Cat Canyon.

The zoo received a male bearcat to mate with Audrey, they sired a baby in June of this year. As for the palm civet, I doubt it since it is the only one in captivity.

The Banded Palm Civet is not the only specimen in captivity, but rather it is the only specimen in captivity outside of its native range. ISIS lists a pair in the Nakhon Ratchasema Zoological Park in Thailand.

When I say the only one in captivity, it will most likely refer to the only one in the U.S. or Western hemisphere
Question about Klyde. Is he the oldest black rhino in captivity? I was reading something about the Columbus zoo and it said he was.

Klyde is most certainly not the oldest Black Rhinoceros in captivity. He's only nine, almost ten, years old. Black Rhinos can live for more than 45 years in captivity.

Another source I heard from is that I saw a post on here saying, "he is very old and will most likely never see another female again."

It will be a different 'Klyde'. 'Clyde' the Black rhino which was at Columbus Zoo was (afaik)the oldest in any zoo when he died. He came from Basel Zoo in Switzerland, in exchange for one of their first Gorillas (Christopher).
