    Cubs; the cubs have been sexed as 2.1 and given the names of Barry, Dandy and Diana. The cubs are numbers four, five and six for dad Iban. His cubs are;

    0.1 Daseep, hand reared at Wuppertal - now at Dudley
    2.0 Taru and Asim - still at Frankfurt
    2.1 Barry, Dandy and Diana - still at Warsaw

    Iban is only on loan at Warsaw until Taru and Asim leave.

    Quite an exceptional year for new holders, first time breeding, Warsaw, Amersfoort, CERZA and Terra Natura.
    What the EEP needs though, is a successful breeding from the wild caught Vienna pair.

    Great news, indeed. Shikari and her little baby boy are doing well. Find some pics here:

    Well, Sundi & Jange haven't mated yet. They are still young enough to have some rhino babies one day.

    Not Byasi but Bysio/Byś - but i think his real name will be other because all animals born in 2012 recived names beginning with "D" - Bysio is name sugested by sponsor of his mother (Shikari)

    Has their been any progress on building a new enclosure for this species, which was just housed in a very old looking cage in January 2012, although there were signs up saying a new exhibit was coming soon.

    Presumably bred at the zoo, when I visited yesterday I saw a baby yak, a baby bactrian camel and a baby american bison.
