0.0.3 Guianan cock-of-the-rock arrived from Dallas World Aquarium at the end of May and will be on show from 20 June. These are the only ones in France and only the 2nd group in Europe (the other holder being Walsrode)
Edinburgh keeps Andean Cock-of-the-Rock, not Guianan. Or at least, it did when I was there in March. The species is no longer listed on Zootierliste, but that website has been a bit erratic lately (see also Babirusa at Dudley - disappeared for some time despite still being very much there!).
ah. After I posted I did wonder if I had the species wrong! Berlin got a male Andean cock-of-the-rock from Edinburgh last week (post #42, http://www.zoochat.com/109/tierpark-berlin-news-354500/index3.html).
I return your 'ah'. That would indeed leave Edinburgh (and British zoos in general) cock-of-the-rockless.
