My guess is that the calf will go to SeaWorld Texas, as they have a calf around the same age. Georgia Aquarium may have been an option earlier with the loss of the calf, the female may have adopted this calf, but probably too late for that now. According to their Facebook, a pacific sleeper shark is in temporary care of the center. This is the third shark kept as part of a study by ASLC and California State University Long Beach, and the first female they’ve kept. The shark will be released in two weeks, just thought it would be an interesting post for a species that’s rarely seen. Alaska SeaLife Center
