The Ninoy Aquino Park and Wildlife Nature Center is one of the 'other' Manila zoos. I don't doubt that their heart is in the right place but the place is in a mess. It is so very obviously short of money. If it were not for the generous donations of a number of companies to build the new aviaries this place would be a slum zoo. Happily there are plans afoot to improve facilities. This can only be a good thing. The location is wonderful for a city zoo. It is worth a visit to see the best of the rest.
Thanks for this link...I'm loving reading your reviews of asian zoos that don't really get a say here at zoochat.
Thank You...I have a number of others to write for the Philippines. Time is the big factor. Lots of other stuff to write as well. I have visited over 200 zoos, mostly in Asia these past few years.
