Until they potentially bring in another Reticulated female or hybrid female for Kito. Fingers crossed they don't but then I thought that when Gerald died.......

A friend in Swindon has been asked by her son to take him to see Elephant and Tiger. This (NAZF) would be the nearest to them but I have yet to visit. My question to you is do they still have Tiger at all or was the last circus tiger the end of tigers there? ztl (German for out of date) show them as having tiger but I doubt it.

If they don't have tiger where should I recommend for Tiger + Elephant remembering nearness is an issue. I did think Colchester (3hrs) Chester (4 hrs) or Whipsnade (2hrs). I don't like Safari Parks but they are both with 2 hours, but do you get to see them are are they miles away in a paddock?

The final Tiger at NAZF died in April. They have yet to receive anymore

Given your criteria, I think Longleat is the best option. I know you said that you don't like Safari park's but it's the only place with Elephants within a reasonable drive of Swindon unless you want to go upto West Midlands

Thanks for the reply. Do you get to stand and watch or do you just drive past?

I fed back your comments and suggested NAZF and CWP. They said they had been to CWP so he must have seen Tiger. I think its got to be NAZF then (who still have Lion?).

As far as I'm aware the lone tiger died at NAZF. Safari parks are hit and miss, whipsnade is probably the better option.

I don't have a definitive date, but I'm pretty sure they were gone on my first visit, about 1995/6.

Wouldn't recommend as meeting the criteria very well- they have only the one Elephant (? Anne) who I didn't see last time I went as she was indoors where you can't view. West Midlands Elephants are drive-past also. More reliable in my opinion would be Whipsnade for close-up of both species and better Elephant group.

They have four lions, a pair and their two male offspring (Who both lack manes due to castration).
I would definitely opt for Whipsnade.
Incidentally, NAZF now have a farm shop in the car park, a new income stream encase of another lockdown?

I ended up recommending Bristol and NAZF. Thanks for the advice.

Are there any arrivals or departures planned for the Bachelor heard of African Elephants? With regards to the death of Khan the final Circus tiger at Noah’s earlier this year is there any news on which species will move into his empty abode? Finally what is the plan for replacing Genny the female Giraffe who passed away earlier this year? Kito her mate cannot be single for too long as Giraffes are a heard animal. I sincerely hope that Kito’s future mate is a purebred Rothschild Giraffe as breeding hybrids makes the breeding programe stagnant!

Good choice, pretty sure you've been hearing a lot about the Bristol double-up (triple ;)) option for a while now though... :p

I would hope they dont bring in a purebred Rothschild or any female for that matter seen as Kito is the hybrid.......
