I think it would be entirely possible to build a vast corrugated heated metal shed with skylights and liberal use of hotwire inside and out, or with something akin to the 'rhino polytunnel' at Blair drummond counting as a winter exercise area. But certainly I don't imagine an indoor 'exhibit' as such.

What I also find strange is the concept of two 'Elephant Sanctuaries' so close together if Longleat choose also to expand with Elephants, but I suppose that is entirely possible- if enough 'spare' Elephants are found to be available.

It seems this Tiger died at a very young age, similar to Makari at WHF. Is it possible there is a problem with Tigers, something like a fit or something?

If you read the article it states he died from a digestive problem. Nothing suggests anything to do with a fit.

I went to Noah's Ark today and a giraffe was born on Sunday 17th July. There is a hold up on the elephant sanctuary whilst they try and fund a million pounds.

Schhol boy error. Anounce a brilliant new exhibit then later worry about finances.

Similar to the errors a certain other zoo keeps making! You've suggested the other one should maybe close down, but of the 2, i'm sure the other one would be missed more!
