hi all, happy holidays it’s me @Jake with my new phone and better pictures:p sorry I haven’t been on for a long while been to zoos around Australia.

    Canberra Zoo and Aquarium

Saw the leopard, words can’t describe, so majestic (even if it was asleep)

    Halls Gap Zoo

    Ballarat Wildlife Park

And a 2 minute visit to the Canberra Reptile Zoo that was shut but managed to see a Perentie and Lace Monitors from outside.

Been keeping up to date with the going ons of this amazing website

    Also

Will attempt to use scientific names for animals and not be irresponsible or irritating
    :p

Also Ballarat has in fact DO not have Aruba Island Rattlesnake :D

Thanks for getting this far, Happy Holidays Everyone!!
I was also @StoatBoy13 if any one saw the name pop up.

Yes! Leopards in Australia! The only continents without them now are Antarctica and South America :)

@amur leopard Yep, they really need more of them in the world and in Australian Zoos. Great news about @Steve Robinson and the Darling Downs Zoo getting the species, looks like more visits there:D:p

@amur leopard i followed you, great posts BTW

What do you mean? Every zoo there has them. They're usually next to the Cryolophosaurs:p.

Welcome back @Jake. Leopards were in Australasia prior to Yakalla’s arrival at the National Zoo last year. Zion Wildlife Gardens in NZ still has a generic (melanistic) male. He was imported in 2005.

I’m interested to see how the Sri Lankan leopard breeding programme will play out. We know the National Zoo will be holding a breeding pair. I’m hoping that Adelaide and Darling Downs Zoo will also hold breeding pairs (it sounds like DDZ will), with their offspring held at other zoos/wildlife parks within the region; rather than just one facility (the National Zoo) breeding, and in turn supplying the other two holders.
