Northern bald ibis breeds in Spain

    It is a early days yet, but good omens all the same for the future. It would be nice to see an augmentation of the breeding population beyond the current 3-4 zoos contributing to the wild flock.

    A few days ago, again 38 Northern bald ibisses were released into the Janda-region - Andalusia. All captive bred at zoos across Europe, they spend 2 months at a large release-aviary befor the doors of the aviary were opened :).
