I know there was some dispute about this expansion. I am glad the feature article goes about explaining what they exactly do in the extension area and how this contributes to highlighting and conserving Californian habitats! Especially chuffed with their work to re-establish true native Bay area vegetation and ensuring this park area is more suitable to the locally endangered Alameda whip snake! BTW: I found it shocking the learn f.i. the true figure for unrealesable black bears - that if no solutions are found - get "humanely" euthanised ...!
I found it pretty interesting that they are working with cal trans to collect roadkill for ocassional food for the mountain lions
