2 Amur Tigers females Eloise and Bernadette are coming from the Milwaukee County Zoo. They will turn 3 this year.

Red Pandas are arriving sometime this spring in the Discovery Center, in the former Leopard habitat.

Here are a few things from my visit on Saturday
    • Lampreys are arriving this summer in Cascade Stream (not sure what species)
    • Keepers are working on the leopard habitat for the red pandas
    • Tiger viewing is closed as Bernadette and Eloise acclimatize
    • A section of the Penguinarium is being modified to add great auks to the collection.
    • Wild dog pups have names: Cricket, Mortar, Rocket, Sandy, Rouseli, Grommet, Scooter, Terracotta (aka Terra), Rosie, Cinder and Bolt

Great auks? You don't mean a museum exhibit/taxidermied species since great auks are extinct?

No, it was a poor attempt at an April Fools Joke. Everything else is accurate.

The soullessness of online text... I guess prose and linguistic acuity are the key to bridging the gap between technology and human interaction! Regardless, everything else is genuinely good news! Are they maintaining the netting of Boris' old enclosure for the red pandas?

So they replaced Amur leopards with red pandas and caracals with lemurs... At least red pandas actually somewhat fit in a sort of Eurasian environ, while lemurs fit as well in a Serengeti environment as polar bears do in the Congo basin.

Is Rose- Tu pregnant? In the summer of 2018, Samson covered it.

Unless I'm mistaken, Chendra is the only Bornean elephant in the U.S., so no matter who the sire is, the baby won't be full-blooded Bornean.
