    Topic Number One:
    Events (Part One: The Basics)

First, we will focus on events such as weather, escapes, and injuries. Weather will be determined by where you choose to place your Paleo Park. Weather will affect your paleofauna's behavior, and sometimes health (depending on your enclosure conditions, and weather procedures), occasionally the weather can cause power outages and (if not taken care of) escapes. Escapes will occur more often when an animal's needs are not met, the security is inadequate, or during power outages. I will initiate disease outbreaks, breakouts, injuries, and deaths in your zoo depending on a variety of factors.

You can respond on any topic to give your ideas and opinions on what a wrote, and even give information on what you'd want to see.

Oh, and should this be one of the ZooChat fantasy zoo multiverse experiment worlds? I was thinking of doing this in the same world as Cryptid Park, and we could maybe try an extinct animal cryptid thing, where once you find the cryptid you can gift it to the cryptid park you went on an expedition with, and analyze the DNA to find what it evolved from, and potentially create a clone.

For the next part, I was thinking about flood gates and tornado shelters for weather damage prevention, but I was wondering if anyone had any ideas for hurricanes, a backup facility possibly? For escape prevention, I was thinking about fencing tiers, and security items such as cameras, but I need a few more "upgrades". Any ideas?

Are hurricane shelters a thing, and if so do any zoos have them?

How would fence tiers be determined?

I'm not too into cryptids. Fences probably shouldn't have tiers, and it would be most logical to determine what works in what situation based on the reasoning behind them instead of strict numerical stats.

Okay, do you have any other security ideas?

Events (Part Two: Prevention & Mitigation)

Now that we're done with the outline of the events, it's time to cover the prevention and mitigation of these events. Due to the nature of the event, there is no way to prevent weather, this includes all damage to buildings and animals, but you can minimize storm, and tornado damage by having concrete structures, and buildings to store paleofauna in during these events. However, when a particularly bad hurricane is reported, it is suggested to send your animals to another facility that is located away from the predicted path of destruction. In case of a power outage, it is recommended that you have several backup generators throughout your facility (unless your facility is an aquarium, in which case you only need a few). Animals will be more likely to contract illnesses if they are not vaccinated every year. For security, it is recommended to set up security cameras, double doors, and if the creature is especially dangerous, a second fence or moat.

Tell me which one you prefer, The World Association of Paleo Parks (WAPP), The World Association of Zoos & Aquariums Containing Extinct Life (WAZACEL), or create your own if you'd like!

WAZACEL (World Association of Zoos & Aquariums Containing Extinct Life)

WAZACEL is a specialized decision of the WAZA made to manage the rules and regulations all Paleo Parks must follow to keep their certified status. When a park has a certified status it is more likely to attract more visitors and therefore make more money. Due to this, any park without a certified status can only import one small paleofauna per day. (You can wait two days, and import a medium species, or wait three days to import a large species.) To keep/gain your status you have to answer a weekly prompt.

    Weekly Events

Every week there will be up to three events, one of which will be a WAZACEL prompt. The other events will be contests created by the WAZACEL Honors Council. These events will be contests and competitions you can participate in for a prize. This prize will often be a restricted species or an extra import.

    The WAZACEL Honors Council

The WAZACEL Honors Council is a group of Paleo Park directors elected by WAZACEL or the current honors council. The council will work together to plan weekly events, and update the rules. To become part of the council one’s park must have a certified status.

    Imports and Construction

The largest part of the game is cloning extinct creatures and expanding your park. When you begin your park you will be able to import one species of recently extinct animal per day (extinct after 1499). Once you finish your first week you will be able to choose two dinosaurs from a themed list of six species to be shipped to your park. Afterwards you will be able to import one species of small paleofauna, or a recently extinct animal (you can import a medium species of paleofauna if you wait two days, or import a large species after waiting three days). On your third week you will be able to become certified by WAZACEL and begin planning expansions. To create an expansion you must send an application to be reviewed, this application should either have a description of the expansion and each enclosure, or a map. You will soon be sent a message allowing the construction of the expansion and when it will finish construction, or a message asking you to change or clarify something. If you wish you can import two small species, or one medium species a day, or one large species every two days rather than making expansions. While an expansion is being built you can clone up to three small species and two medium species while your waiting. You can also build one gift shop and restaurant a week.

    Cloning, Excavation, and Museums

Now when it comes to creating paleofauna there's one thing you're going to need, and that is some DNA. For all recently extinct species (extinct after 1499) you're pretty much covered, but for paleofauna, you will need to find some fossils. The easiest way to do this is to trade (will be expanded upon later), but you can also search excavation sites for fossils. This will be done by making weekly updates on your park (will be expanded upon later). If you are currently working on an excavation you will be sent an update on any fossils you find every day. These fossils will be kept in museums built as a part of your park or as separate facilities.

    Trading and Donations

Oftentimes one will need a specific species of paleofauna for their park but are unable to locate a fossil, when this happens others may sometimes donate or trade their dinosaurs or fossils. There will be a trading forum where you make trading requests, and others can make offers below, or donate if they wish.
