    Hi everyone,
First time poster, long time reader of these forums. You guys are a fantastic, current source of information.
We are hoping to visit Rotterdam Zoo in the coming months and I was wondering if anyone can tell me if they still have Pallas's Cats there? I know they did as of March 2019 but I also know they are not the easiest species to keep for long periods.
Any info would be much appreciated :)
Also, are there any other zoos in the Netherlands currently keeping Pallas's cats? I've done a lot of online research but many places don't have full inventories I can look through.
    Thank you!

Hey, there a currently no Pallas cats at the Rotterdam zoo. The exhibit has been refurbised this year and since hasn't housed Pallas cats. New Pallas cats should be coming from Russia i believe. But dont know when.
I personally dont know any other Dutchs zoos that currently keep tnem.

    Hi there, thanks for replying!
Ah that's a shame, however good news if they are refurbishing the exhibit for more! Were the previous Pallas Cats moved on elsewhere or did they pass, do you know?
Either way thanks for the update!

There are no Pallas cats in other Dutch zoo’s. Until 2013 Dierenrijk, Mierlo had them. I don’t know what happens to the Pallas cats in Rotterdam

I remember that the Pallas' Cats were notorious no-shows. Despite having seen the exhibit multiple times, I don't recall ever seeing the Pallas' Cats in Rotterdam. It wasn't until my trip to Berlin that I finally saw one in the flesh.

Wrocław zoo informed about it on their official FB page :). She was the first kitten of the whole litter who left the zoo.

They told it today at the new year's lecture for the Zoo Friends (Vrienden van Blijdorp). So if all goes well you might be in luck. Although they will probably still be hard to find.

Thank you, I've just looked back in their posts and seen it! I've only just started following them on Facebook. This is great news, we're going to be at Wroclaw zoo on the 24th and then rotterdam in March. Fingers crossed to see the full family

@hamoomoo, Usually the best time to see them is (early) morning (9-11 AM) :)
    Good luck!

This is what I've found after a couple of visits to Paris Menagerie and Berlin, all the sightings were early in the morning.
