That is a fascinating article, with a number of intriguing statistical graphs. Keepers making more money in the Pacific Northwest is intriguing, but then so is the alarming fact that a starting keeper salary in the South "will likely leave you with a negative net income". It's also interesting how McDonalds, Home Depot and Walmart employees have similar wages to starting keepers, although I'm not sure that individuals working at those stores get as much satisfaction from their job. Keepers have received lousy pay for decades, but they do have amazing day-to-day experiences.
