Video 26 is now online. We enjoyed some Paignton Zoo, they had a few nice rare species, I especially liked the Tinnamou and the Takin. The part where the crocodile mistook my GoPro for lunch was the definite highlight..... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BLAqGWu5vhU
Video 26 is now on Youtube - Dartmoor Zoo. I was waiting until I had completed number 27 before I posted this. That took me longer than anticipated as I struggled to cut it down to a reasonable length. Hope you enjoy! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3sPoiJ6ErIQ
Exmoor Zoo was one of our favourites of the whole tour, and included the Walk on the Wild Side experience. Enjoy number 27, it may not view on tablets though.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1tyylz77Wsg
Have you ever wanted to swim with a Sealion? Well you can at Combe Martin. It may not be the best collection but the experience was amazing, hope you enjoy... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KumbDv-gcfk
Enjoy your videos. Well edited and no empty enclosures or sleeping animals... One question- is there only one Sealion? I saw a single 'performer' one at West Midlands and thought it seemed wrong to keep just a single, however much attention is paid to it.
Thanks Pertinax, I guess we were lucky a lot of the animals are active when we see them, maybe they're playing to the camera They have three Sealions I think (without checking my footage) which are in a pool behind the performance arena when not performing or training.
By far our favourite Safari Park (of the 4 we visited) was Longleat. The boat ride to see the gorillas and feed the Sealions swung it for me. That and being able to feed the Giant Anteaters. Who knew their favourite food was avocado and Quark! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N-nrt-yaBbE
From your shots I guess the boat doesn't spend long by the Gorilla area? Did you also see the old male Gorilla 'Nico' on his island ? The Anteater experience looks good. Another great video- keep 'em coming!
Another superb video, thanks again. One minor quibble, you wrote baboon in your description on the video, they are actually Macaques!
The boat does a lap round the island housing Nico then past the main group after but it doesn't stop unfortunately so you don't get much time to see them (unless you spend the day on the boat!). We saw Nico briefly, he was just laying there watching us and the world go by....
Three quarters of the way through the tour, our 30th visit was Africa Alive! Sister zoo to our local zoo, Banham, the have some amazing animals: Drills, Senegal Bush Babies, Aardvarks and Fossas among others. The aardvark experience is well worth trying.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-S3HPRGOngc
Zoo number 31 was a trip to the wonderful Cotswolds Wildlife Park. The majestic crowned sifakas are reason to visit alone. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IbojYdfU9mE
Getting close to the end of the 2015 tour now, we visited the newly opened Hemsley Conservation Centre in mid November. We had a great couple of hours there including feeding the amazing Brazilian Porcupines... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GVl...ment_id=z12nezojanv3vniyb04cdz3xtrexflpbzo00k
The latest video is now online, a great little trip to British Wildlife Centre. The red squirrels in the walkthrough are quite literally nuts! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-pKTGSCCsbA
We're getting near the end of our 2015 tour now and our final animal experience was feeding the capybara at Chessington World of Adventures. We visited on a zoo only day, a bargain at only £9! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=htnHjh4JWdY&feature=youtu.be
Was very interested to see the mixed marmoset enclosure walk through do you know how many species were in it and was it just marmosets
