I opened this thread to get information about the persian leopard in Korean zoo. In 1991, Korean-Japanese donated a pair of Persian leopards to Jeonju Zoo. That Persian leopards were siblings, named the male "Toto" and the female "Nene," but in 1993, Toto died by pneumonia. Picture of Nene. In this KBS news, can see a video of Nene. According to media reports at the 1997, Jeonju Zoo contacted the Riverbank Zoo and other overseas zoos to find a male persian leopard to mate with Nene, but eventually failed to get a male. Toto and Nene are the only Persian leopards that ever existed in Korean zoos, but there is very little information left. However, the newspaper reports at the time said that Nene was listed as No. 332 in the international Persian Leopard studbook. So to get more information about Toto and Nene, I would like to get help from the zoochatters. If anyone knows about the "Persian Leopard International studbook" mentioned in the Korean newspaper in 1997, please reply.
