    Hi everybody, thanks for all the support and messages, been a massive comfort to my family at this very difficult time. We are all doing okay, I'm still a bit sore but there's no lasting damage! I was lucky in that respect.
    Still waiting for the police to come and take a statement though...

    Not even going to bother with the statement, just going to put in a complaint about their treatment of me and the family!
    It's been 5 days now and none of us are exactly sure what happened anymore, also these kids have upset a lot of "influential" locals so I'm fairly certain their faces will not match my descriptions anymore... ;)

    Good luck. I myself have found myself in the difficult position of dealing with the police and it is never an easy experience, even when they are helpful, if only because they can be so intimidating. Unfortunately a lot of police officers are not exactly eager to do their jobs. Write down what you can remember anyway though if you haven't already. It might come in handy and/or serve as some kind of therapy.
