Phillip the White Cheeked Gibbon would have to be about 43/44 this year if he came to PZ as a wild-caught in 1974. He's bred with two partners and must have moved enclosures more than twice. Pretty cool!

Someone on Facebook asked if there were plans to get more lions after Mandela's passing. Perth Zoo responded "....in the new year we'll start renovating & extending our lion exhibit. It will take about 18 months to complete then we'll be welcoming new lions for breeding ".
