More elephants at the zoo, a herd of five and a bull, icc has 3 elephants (not including the male) none of the others have been mothers so they couldn't step in. With multiple calfs born at the actual zoo, we have an experienced mother there who has taken care of not only her own calf, but the others that weren't hers. The herd at the zoo shows interest of the calf, which is also good.

Tasha, the zoo's elephant matriarch, is showing interest in the new orphan calf.

"The other elephants are becoming more curious by the little calf in the next room, although most of them are not yet ready to share space. Surprisingly, the matriarch elephant Tasha, who has never had a calf of her own and has not been known to be the most patient with the herd’s youngsters, has been the one most interested in the baby. She has allowed the baby to walk up to her and even touch her with her trunk. Once Tasha signals that the little calf is welcome, the other elephants will follow her lead and become more accepting. As everyone shows that they are feeling more comfortable, they will spend increasing amounts of time together."

The zoo is working on it but she isn't ready for a full introduction. This process takes some time

The lowland nyala are out of quarantine. They are awaiting the introduction phase. They will be on exhibit soon in Africa Savanna.

Last minute tank work is being worked on in Water's Edge. After this the sea otters will return and Coolio will debut. This could happen soon, but you never know what will come up next.
