    No, it's 10 bucks.

Bit naughty by Frontier over this announce a "free" update and tease possible animals and then announce it as a paid DLC...

What, do you expect a corporation these days to do something good?

There are two separate things. There is the free update which includes some new construction items, then there's the paid DLC which has the additional animals and a whole bunch more construction items.

I know but the why they announced it was misleading.

There are laws about misleading consumers, I expected them to release DLC that you had to pay for but the way in which they did it was misleading and confusing.

It really wasn’t. They made one announcement and then another. Nothing confusing or misleading about it. And I’m the first one to complain about corporate or political wrong-doing.

To you maybe, but to many it was not. They posted teaser images after the update announcement but before the paid DLC announcement which would suggest it was part of the update, which is misleading.

Not sure I will be buying the update just yet. Not after I spent out on the deluxe version and not really used the additional animals.

Anyone else a little disappointed that they went for the Arctic Wolf and not the Arctic Fox?

I think it's worth it for the Polar Bears (which should've really been in the base game), and the Reindeer are pretty cool (good to see another deer species).

The Wolves seem to just be retextured Grey Wolves but are a good species to have overall and even though the Dall Sheep are a nice new addition with new models / animations / etc. I think that they are an odd choice for an Arctic pack with only 4 animals that should be easily recognisable Arctic species, I would've gone with something like Wolverines or Arctic Foxes personally.

    This is what I think:

    Polar bear: Cool
    Reindeer: Cool
Arctic wolf: A waste of our collective time (but it's also in ZT1 so...)
Dall sheep: Cool, if not a bit strange of a choice

I'm really happy with the reindeer and Dall sheep, the lack of cervids and mountain goats/sheep really bothered me.

I agree the Dall Sheep is a nice addition, it just doesn't fit in with the other well-known Arctic species, that's the only reason I'm confused about it being in this DLC.
