While I can understand your criticisms about the animation styles and variety (and about other parts of the game like modding capacity and lackluster DLCs), I do feel like pointing out the presence or lack of ear hair in pygmy hippos is to not be seeing the forest for the trees, if you will :p to be honest, the presence of ear hair on a hippo in at least some shots feels pretty remarkable for me, as I can remember back to playing ZT1 when zoos looked like this:

Can you find the orangutan? :D

I feel you are blindly posting random things at this point. While I understand you are probably dissatisfied by the game, you are currently simply posting images or links with no explanation, as well as putting forward criticisms that seem a bit silly. Whiskers are hard to animate you know! You can't go around putting them everywhere it is necessary.

Hippos don't move their whiskers, and pygmy hippo has them. Animals were obviously made by different designers with no common standard of realism.

I feel like compromises must be made in a game like this and they’ve got so many amazing elements in here that I do forgive certain aspects of realism from the animals. The simple animations of tail and ear flicks, interactions with enrichment items, general look of animals in my opinion being really good (though some better than others and scale being a bit off on some) plus the fact the game does have all the management aspects available too makes it really good. And I say that as someone who works with a lot of the animals featured in the game - I was surprised at how well they’ve done them!

Is Planet Zoo good in your opinion? I'm thinking about getting it.

I agree with @birdsandbats here. It's worth the price.

I think definitely worth it! Allows for so much creativity :)

Also this week's Whipsnade episode is up - male zebra paddock, wattled crane yard, main zebra enclosure finishing touches and a recap of my giraffe live streams! Featuring more fake netting, a huge wooden walkway and custom doors for giraffes and people!

Can we all agree that the Himalayan brown bear was the absolute worst choice for the animal roster?

I have a lot to say about this game in general, I'll have to dig up my written review sometime.

I just want to dump my worthless opinion here but PZ is a good game. It is a good building game that offers gamers, that otherwise would rarely think of animals except for their pet cat, familiar and unique animals. However I don't think PZ is a good zoo game. I'll acknowledge that I have had excessively high expectations from this game but further seeing what this game had to offer (or lack of) just disappointed me.

You pretty much summed up my views :p I also don't know if it's just my laptop or not, but I noticed the game's pretty buggy as well and I'm also sick of the mini-packs that are just blatant cash-grabs

Yeah I’d agree with you there. Not sure why they decided on that one

Depends what you want out of the game I guess PossomRoach, I think they’ve done a good job of showing the importance of education, welfare and enrichment and I’m quite happy with the list of species available so far, though there are definitely some huge gaps!

This weeks Chester Zoo video is now available to watch here. It is in the Madagascar area of the zoo and compliments the existing Ring Tailed Lemur enclosure.

I totally agree there as the game already has the Grizzly in. I would have gone for the Spectacled or Sun Bear as a choice.

I do have my own mammal wish list for Planet Zoo.

Hi guys! Something a little different this week - I completed the white rhino house and have made it a speed build video! I hope you enjoy seeing the process of building/detailing this house. Featuring lots of custom gates, a raised viewing corridor and some lighting for a change!

Part of a community build where everybody creates a little bit of the zoo.
