Platapusu's in captivity

    platypus is also acceptable as a plural form (it is the one I prefer). If one wants to be smart, one can also use platypodes. And Hix has tried a couple of times to make the case for platypodenda, but has failed to convince me.

    I really think that should be bumped up to 20. However I realise we would then miss out on valuable posts/threads by people such as Laughing Dove, Thylacine Alive, and YourMumsaGoat has been contributing well since he changed his name.

    Then again, there are some members in their 20's who make me want to increase the limit to 30 ......

    ok we got way of topic. My question is does anyone know why platapi (Or whatever you prefer to call it) are so rare in captivity and is it possible for them to come to the U.S?

    You still seem to fail to understand; it's not what I or any other Zoochat member "prefer": the correct spelling of the species in question is platypus; no more, no less.
