Reports and photos (though Facebook) are suggesting that Nogeyama Zoo has managed to successfully hatch at least one Ploughshare Tortoise. Can anyone confirm this ?
Well after the tuatara hatching in Chester, this is another great great great breeding achievement for zoos globally! Any info on the group size and make-up, FL?

A Ploughshare Tortoise hatched on 26th May at Nogeyama. The zoo now has 11 individuals of this species: Yokohama zoo successfully breeds critically endangered ploughshare tortoise - The Mainichi
In 2016, the zoo already had 3 hatchlings. The adults (2.1) had been at Nogeyama since 2011. Some arithmetic gives me the impression that the rise to 11 is just a continuum with the latest hatchling adding to previous hatchings over the interval.
