Tiergarten Nürnberg Polar Bears in germany

    In november, the efamle Verena at Nuremberg Zoo, Mother of the handraised Flocke, gave birth to twins, and this time, she's raising them by herself.

    The whole area around the polar exhibit is closed now, to do the bestpossible for the mother and here youngsters.

    And becuase the geramns are just interetsed now in polar bears, this birth means a sensation, because its so hard breeding them.(Ha,Ha )

    But I guess, a lot of people are dissapointed that Verana is raising them by herself, only handraised polar bear cubs are interesting...

    And the Animal Righteners are sshouting Stop Breeding polar Bears in Zoos.

    Both cubs sadly died.

    The handreared female polare Flocke has got a partner. Yesterday, a one year old polar bears arrived in Nürnberg. The male is born in Moskau.

    Ah that's good, she might learn some Polar bear behviours, unlike Knut ;)
    Is the male hand reared too?

    No the male lived the whole time together with his brothers and his mother.
