This Conservation Breeding Center is located in East Java and has good breeding results with a number of treathened Indonesian (song)birds.
Next to the birds also other animals are kept among them the Javan small-toothed palm civet ( Arctogalidia trivirgata trivirgata ).
The Javan small-toothed palm civet is criticaly threathened and at one time even considered extinct but luckily was rediscovered 2008.
At the Prigen Conservation Breeding Ark now the world-first breeding of the species has archieved and hopefully many more will follow :) !

    From Facebook - Sept 1 2020 :

"UPDATE!!! Another 2 chicks of Javan Piedstarling (Gracupica jalla) fletched today!!
    .
Today our team of keepers witnessed the offspring of Javan Piedstarling left the nest and started their new lives as young birds. These chicks are new additions to the existing F2 whose parents were also born in PCBA.
Meanwhile, this species is listed CRITICALLY ENDANGERED and feared to be extinct in the wild. That we have continuous success in conservation breeding of this species is a stellar achievement as it takes hard work and consistency in its process.
We greatly hope that one day, these birds will fill our forests again! "

    News on Facebook :
"Yesterday a young chick of Javan Green Magpie (Cissa thalassina) fledged. After about 3-4 weeks of being cared for by the parents in the nest, it was finally ready to explore the surroundings. This is the sixth chick to have been successfully raised in PCBA. Other pairs are currently sitting on eggs or caring for chicks. This keeps us optimistic that we could achieve our conservation breeding objectives in the future!"

PCBA and the WPA (World Pheasant Association) cooperate in building a complex with eight double enclosures for galliformes, which is scheduled to be completed by August. They planned to breed the grey-breasted partridge, endemic to the highland forest of East Java.

Since it's for galliformes, will they use it for Pavo muticus too?

Do you know if it is open to the public, or does it admit visits, even if it is restricted?

Probably, they would probably focused on something like the earless monitor lizard or the Bornean flat-headed frog.
