Hi - We visited longleat yesterday and had a wonderful day.. All the animals ( bar a norfolk turkey!) looked happy. Nico was magnificent, and we had great fun in the meerkat and lorikeet enclosures.
BUT.... no monkeys at the monkey temple which was a disappointment... we hadn't driven through the monkey drive through as we couldn't afford to fix things on the car if they got torn off so we were looking forward to seeing the monkeys up close.. The employees working there said they had been told not to give a reason why the monkeys weren't out. Which seems a bit mysterious, and perhaps ominious.. Had they been extra naughty? escaped from their designated area? had a virus? Does anyone have any ideas or knowledge on this? we would like to go again next year and hope the monkeys will be back! thanks for any input..
