There is a nice profile of retiring small mammal keeper David Kessler at the Smithsonian National Zoo. Several animals make appearances in the article including naked mole rats, howler monkeys, and red-ruffed lemurs.

Zoo keepers really are extraordinary people and they don't get appreciated enough. Thank you, keepers. I hope that Mr. Kessler has a happy and fulfilling retirement.

A wonderful article, David. The video and pictures were excellent! Red-ruffed lemurs.
