How does one post on a member profile? I can't figure it out. Is it a premium member only thing or am I just missing something?
I am in the process of phasing out profile posts completely. I spent so long reminding people that profile posts are public and all members can see them (when it was clear that what they had posted was intended to be private) that I eventually gave up and disabled them for regular members. It seems many members did not understand the difference between profile posts and private conversations. I'd have to check the exact permissions I have in place - but I'm pretty sure I set it up so that premium members can still post on profiles, while regular members cannot. However, it is currently my intention to completely disable profile posts when we upgrade to the new version of the forum software in a few months.
