Following suit on our previous threads (i.e. Birds of Paradise in captivity, Cotingas in captivity, Barbets in captivity, Manakins in captivity), @Vision, @jayjds2 and I have been working on a list for yet another family of wonderful animals in captivity, namely Prosimians.

    A couple thoughts beforehand:
    1)
Because we had to draw the line somewhere, we decided to use no information older than 5 years (so only things posted from late 2013 onwards) upon making this list; we did this to keep the list as accurate and up-to-date as possible.
    2) To make this list we used information from zootierliste, zoochat, visits to the respective zoos, and occasionally other sources (facebook pages of the collections, visits of friends to the respective zoos, etc.)
    3) There are bound to be many more prosimians in other collections, but as this is a huge group of animals with lots of information, it's hard to find everything.
    4) Anyone is more than welcome to mention things that need to be altered/updated on this list!

I think Black and White Ruffed Lemur is pretty common in Chinese zoos at this point. I certainly haven't been keeping notes but I feel like I see them a lot.

    Thanks for the work!

Has the female Garnett's galago just died in Cologne, they just had started breeding. They also keep Goodman's mouse lemur (1.1).

Hapalemur griseus is also kept in Ivoloina.

Microcebus rufus in both Ivoloina and Tzimbazaza are likely not rufus, but one of the many splits that have been proposed in recent years.

Besancon kept 2 Sifaka earlier his year.

Data for Red-fronted lemur seem to be mostly missing....

I have serious doubts about the veracity of the ZTL entry referring to Combe Martin.

    1,1 also held at Cologne.

1,1 also held at TP Berlin.

    Woburn has/had 0,1 rubriventer x rufifrons

Milwaukee and Brookfield both keep this species.
Racine does NOT keep this species.

I think the Galagos are just old data, they should have 3,1 now (or at least had 3 weeks ago :D )

Is that really it? At least you have plenty of species that can't be seen elsewhere though!

You should put Spectral Tarsier in quotation marks or note it as sensu lato (and also correct the scientific name to Tarsius tarsier).

Also your Nycticebus lists are really incomplete. Pick any random zoo in southeast Asia and there's a better than average chance it will have the local species on display. They are everywhere.

There are only a handful of "major" ABC-heavy zoos in Australasia. Remember that the entire human population of Australia and New Zealand combined is only half of just England by itself.

I think the obvious comment here is just to say where is that data going to come from?

Yeah I know - that was why I didn't offer any locations for lorises in southeast Asia :p

(Although, an obvious - to me - omission is Lok Kawi for Horsfield's Tarsier and Bornean Slow Loris; they don't always have them because of their apparently high turn-over of animals, but there's a highly probable chance of one or both being there at any given time).

No sign of fat-tailed dwarf lemur at Combe Martin during the summer!

Common Brown Lemur is kept by Wildwood Wildlife Park.

Henry Vilas Zoo keeps Northern Greater Galago.
