Any updates on the gharial group? I just discovered that they successfully hatched 16 young in 2016; the most successful breeding ever outside of India. They published a paper that was promising that they had discovered some important points to breeding in captivity: maintaining in a harem, providing a nesting area, natural light, live food, and seasonal temperature variations. I can't find any information on any subsequent egg laying, although the same female had previously laid fertile eggs that did not survive to hatching.
Through their owner's Facebook account, the zoo announced that they successfully bred a new guinea echidna in 2022.
Does anyone know if Protivin may have intentions of acquiring Orinoco crocodiles? It's the only "important" species they don't keep, and I'm surprised they don't want to.
