I'm planning to visit Israel this autumn. Which of its zoos would you recommend, may it be in regard to species collection, husbandry, exhibit design, scenery, history etc.? Thanks in advance for your replies.
Hi Sun Wukong Great to see, that you are not lost in space I can not writing from own experiences, but friends of mine have visited Zoo and Safari Ramat Gan near Tel Aviv and the Bible Zoo in Jerusalem. It seems that those are a must for zoo enthusiasts visiting Israel, the former (beyound others) because of its large exhibits and herds of elephants, hippos and antilopes, the later because of its efforts in education in biology. And if I am not wrong, then Ramat Gan is - at the moment - the only EAZA-facility with a breeding herd of Masai Giraffes. Shalom so far
