    Actually, only reptiles and amphibians are considered herps, and invertebrates, are, well, inverts.

    As of Saturday, I’m now in joint ownership of a very young unsexed crested gecko. Before long my friend and I will acquire another one and the “joint” part will go away, as we’ll have one each. :D

    It’s my first herp and so far it’s socialized extremely well (from skittish and jumpy the first day to extremely calm when held now). I can’t wait to have one that’s fully mine and watch it grow up too.
