The mexican association of zoos and aquariums AZCARM is trying to move animals in terrible conditions from zoos in venezuela affected by the continued economic and political crisis to accredited mexican zoos like Chapultepec, Africam and Xcaret. If someone wonders why the animals cannot go to US zoos remember that Venezuela does not have diplomatic relations with the US..

Buscan zoológicos de México refugiar a animales desnutridos de Venezuela - Quadratín
Members of Azcarm (Asociación de zoologicos, criaderos y acuarios de Mexico) will travel to Zulia state zoo to see which animals are in condition to be moved to a group of mexican zoos, including Chapultepec, Morelia and Guadalajara zoos. Some animals are too old to be moved. By the way, most of the animals in the video are from Morelia zoo and look healthy. It is interesting to note that it was the photo of the malnourished puma that began this movement. Let us hope it is not too late too save the puma.
