Well, as I have previously said here, I honestly don't understand all these moves the institution has been doing. No advantages in changing animals from one exhibit to another all the time. The little sense of grouping they still had has almost gone now, IMO. What do otters have in common with big cats that makes them be grouped together in the same "biosphere"? Bears were already quite displaced, but at least you could say they were all big carnivores...

not exactly, andean bears generally eat fruits, they just eat 5% of meat.

Yes, Lucas, but what I mean is that they still fit somehow in the "Reis da selva" area. At least they fit better than otters among tigers and lions, if you understand me.

No problem, I also understood your point. Calling spectacled bears carnivores would not be actually apropriated indeed.

hey guys, i have some good news, the king vulture is officially back to the zoo, there is a couple living in the former lear's macaw enclosure, but i thought they would be in an enclosure made especially for them, and also living among the hawks and a couple of hornbills in a different place at the zoo, i hope it's a provisory habitat because it belongs to the macaws. andré told me about this yesterday.

Do you happen to know where the macaws are being kept now? Afaik, that exhibit was made for them in the old times of Riozoo, and it's a pretty suitable enclosure. I don't think it's a good idea to remove them from exhibition, unless they have been showing signals of stress. What I've been realising is that the Bioparque is at this moment a complex of sortid exhibits. You never know what animal you'll see when you visit o_O

I also didn't see any behavior that could be considered stress when I visited the institution, but who knows... In any case, I still don't understand all these moves of animals they have been doing...

hey guys, i have something important to say, the orangutans and the crab eating macaques will get a new enclosure, they are going to live in the right side of the place they lived, and they will get new ropes and climbing structures to play. but i don't know what they will do in relation to their former enclosure,

What? They'll be put in the present maned wolf enclosure? What's the sense in this? That exhibit is actually smaller than the present home for these species. I hope it's temporary...
