This isn't a new temporary exhibit, they're hosting Rainforest Reptile Shows Inc. which is a traveling animal show company.

I think so? Not entirely sure but I do believe they have hosted reptile show companies in the past.

    News I can say publically:
-Faces of the Rainforest is "open" but most of the birds, terrarium animals, Giant Otters and monkeys are off exhibit due to severe construction on their habitats. Only howler monkeys, toucan, tamandua, fish, ibis and parrots are on exhibit.
-A new 'mini faces of the rainforest' is open where Shades of Nature was located (the greenhouse) with Brazilian Porcupine, Sloth, White Faced Whistling Duck and Blue Throated Piping Guan
-Snake Den is open with Timber Rattlesnake and Northern Copperhead
-Bubba the harbor seal has been sent to another facility to meet his social requirements, animal that will replace his habitat is TBD
-We do have a male ostrich
-Reptiles Rock! is open and features several small animals outside of World of Adaptations: Full Animal List:

    -Red Rat Snake
    -African Bullfrog
    -Leucistic Burmese Python
    -Burmese Python
    -Gila Monster
    -Crocodile Monitor
    -Leopard Gecko
    -Rose Hair Tarantula
    -Asian Forest Scorpion
    -Brazilian White Knee Tarantula
    -Madagascar Hissing Cockroach
-Turks & Caicos Curly Tail Lizard
    -Caribbean Hermit Crab
    -Argentine Horned Frog
    -Albino Horned Frog
    -Eastern Mud Turtle
    -Juvenile American Alligator

I didn't realize they were doing construction of the rainforest building. Probably not a great sign that an exhibit only a few years old is already needing major work done to it. Any idea what changes they are making?

While I suppose it's not impossible, I find it hard to believe a traveling reptile exhibition has Leiocephalus psammodromus, which is an endangered species unlikely to be exported for the pet trade much, if ever. I could be wrong on that, though.

I also know the changes being made from my coworkers but I don't think I can share it publically. But needless to say, the stuff off exhibit right now is mostly the stuff that had issues.

Yes just one male/one female instead of the two females they announced originally.

Hopefully they prioritize this section of the masterplan. The zoo's down to two pronghorn, now no Seals, and the bison are both elderly as well. It's a section that could use some updates anyways, and the moose/Grizzly bear combo should be sufficient to draw in crowds.

Alternatively, I could see sea otters making good use of the exhibit in the meantime.

Or, penguins could make a comeback! Humboldts might make the cut given the zoo's history with them.
