    Female giraffe, Ziphora, died suddenly in September 2020. They announced that the necropsy and toxicology reports could not determine the cause of death.

    The zoo will be hosting a drive thru version of Dinos Alive! this fall. More details will be announced about the event soon.

    2022 News:

    On May 8th, the zoo announced that a (1.0) siamang named Felix was born on April 9th.

    On May 14th, the zoo announced it officially opened for its 20th season, which includes a new ride area called the Furaha Playgrounds.*

    On October 4th, it was announced they transferred a (0.1) prehensile-tailed porcupine named Sophia to the Assiniboine Park & Zoo in Manitoba.

    Does anyone know if their "African leopard" is really generic or actually is African?

    Generic, I don't think there are any pure African over here currently. Plenty of places still call theirs African though, like "bengal" tigers.

    On August 6th, the zoo announced that a (0.1) siamang named Mikasa was born in July and is now on exhibit.

    Also on August 6th, the zoo announced they acquired a (1.0) blue wildebeest named Ben from the Toronto Zoo in Ontario, and is now on exhibit.

    On December 28th, it was announced that the zoo acquired a (0.1) Andean condor named Alba from Zoo de Granby in Quebec.
