Does anyone have a copy of the latest edition of the San Diego Zoo guidebook? I'm wondering if there is any mention of Elephant Odyssey in it?

I'll be at the zoo this Friday, and if they have a new guidebook then I'll definitely buy one and let you know. I know that San Diego has about a billion gift shops, and so at least one of them will have guide books.

I have a copy of it!

As for Elephant Odyssey, there is somewhat mention of the new exhibit. Compared to the last guidebook, the Elephant Mesa and Horn & Hoof Mesa sections have been combined into a new section..."In Transition". There is a brief summary (only a paragraph) of the new exhibit, and some of the more interesting species of these two areas are showcased....Tapir, Capybara, Elephant, Gerenuk, Takin, Giant Eland, Lesser Kudu, Bactrian Wapiti, Giant Anteater, Springbok, Giraffe.

If one already owns the previous edition... is this one at all worth it?

I would recommend the new edition...a lot of changes have occured since 2000...but I am rather biased because I am a collector.
