    Great news about the pelicans and nice to hear a second collection started to work with the species ! Also in European zoos the species is doing better and better and hopefully the 2 continents can work together because the American founder-population is quite small ( 11 birds as far as I'm aware ).

    A video of mom and the new baby jaguar has been posted on the Zoo's Instagram feed about two hours ago.

    The baby jaguar is a boy and weighs 4.8 lbs. Mom and baby have access to the indoor exhibit.

    It is really nice that they have this public viewing of an indoor area so that they can safely allow viewing of such a small cub. Most zoos with viewing only in the main yard have to wait until cubs are about three months old before visitors can see them.

    A few things I learned at the zoo yesterday. I got a much better view of the new leopard exhibit from the Skyfari. I uploaded a picture to the gallery. The serval has 2 kittens. The new giraffe calf is a girl. The Chacoan peccaries are back in their old exhibit next to the cuvier gazelles. A Francois langur was born on 5/20. Two new tigers are on exhibit. They are Connor's full brothers from the Fresno Zoo.

    More serval kittens? Seems like less than a year since the last kitten. Not that I would complain about more cats. :D

    What have the Peccaries replaced, if anything?

    Are the two new tigers in the same exhibit? So the Zoo now has three tigers and two enclosures right?

    Any news on when the leopard exhibit will open? I went on Sunday and there wasn't any signage announcing when it will open,but it seemed it was sort of close to being done.
