    Excellent news. The Loa Water Frogs mentioned above have successfully bred! The zoo have announced the hatching of 200 tadpoles. Here is an article in English.

    The national zoo of Santiago is one of the front runners with amphibian conservation breeding in South America. The famed Darwin frogs are also part of this effort.

    Here is a video I found (the end part is in Spanish but the majority has no talking) about the recent breeding success with the Loa Water Frogs. It shows entire process from collecting the remaining individuals to the tadpoles at the zoo. Felicitaciones al Zoológico Nacional de Chile.

    What a way to end the year! Zoológico Nacional de Chile have announced that another batch of Loa Water Frogs have been laid - 250 eggs in October joining the 180 individuals bred earlier in the year.
