In todays newpaper a report states Seaworld on the Queensland's Gold Coast will build a new exhibit called "Penguin Encounters" which they say should be open for the Christmas holidays, It will be interesting to see what species are exhibited

If they do build it I hope they make it larger than the one in Melbourne which appears some what small

ANTARCTIC PENGUINS COMING TO SEA WORLD | Sea World
one would assume that the penguins will be coming from Kelly Tarlton's, unless Melbourne has managed to already produce a surplus.

Does the Seaworld already display little blue (fairy) penguins?

I think they do have them still, I know they have had the species for many years.

Hopefully it will be as good as their polar bear exhibit.

I both hope and expect that the exhibit will be many times better than Melbourne Aquarium's, which after a couple of years is already quite a disappointment.

When I was there in December 2007, there were none, although I recall a banner advertising a future exhibit for Blue Penguins.

Yes - I believe Sea World have the largest (and least populated compared to exhibit size) little penguin exhibit, so it makes sense that they would be receiving the other zoos' surplus.

Heard on the radio news today that Seaworlds brand new $12 Million Penguin exhibit will be opening on Boxing day with both King & Gentoo Penguins. They said that the Penguins had been there for more than two weeks, should be a good exhibit for that money

They now exhibit three species at Seaworld

Just a little update, Seaworlds Penguin encounters exhibit opened today, the 6 King & 6 Gentoo Penguins will be joined by another 6 of each species in March from New Zealand.

The new exhibit can make up to 3 tons of snow per day
