Thought I would start a dedicated thread for news from this collection! According to the Hamerton Facebook page, subsequent to the female Bengal Loris passing away in 2015 the male has now been sent to Shaldon to form a pair with the female Bengal Loris held there.
2 Douroucouli Monkeys called 'Dusk' and 'Dawn' have arrived from Marwell. They are living in a mixed exhibit with Tree Shrews and a mouse deer. More info: New Arrivals! | Shaldon Wildlife Trust
That surely is a unique mixed exhibit! Not a very big enclosure though, I hope that the douroucoulis get moved to a more spacious exhibit.
0:1 Red Ruffed Lemur has arrived from Poland to join the two resident males. Her name is Eka. More info here: Another new arrival! | Shaldon Wildlife Trust
Mixed Elephant and Meerkat Exhibit From the Shaldon newsletter "We are extremely excited to announce that we have a fantastic new exhibit coming to Shaldon, that we are certain will draw in the crowds. April the African elephant will be moving into the zoo this week! African elephants are the largest of the elephant species, and April will certainly not disappoint. Standing at just under 10ft at the shoulder, and weighing in at an impressive half a tonne we cannot wait for this gentle giant to make her home here with us. In order to make room for April, almost all of the zoo’s current collection is being moved out. Nic Dunn, our Director says “Of course we will miss some of our original collection, but we really felt that taking on April and having just the one super sized exhibit would be far better for our visitors than lots of smaller ones”. We will be keeping on one of our residents however, Jenna Crawford, Head Keeper notes “We took our meerkats to meet April earlier in the year, and they got on fantastically well. Provided April takes care where she steps the two species will mix together with no problem”. Come and visit us this weekend to get the first look at April in her new home! Please note that a large portion of our perimeter fence will be missing due to this move however we are reasonably confident that April won’t be able to navigate out of the zoo and into the surrounding areas." She is called April and today is the first.

hmm, I don't know. There's something about the article's title which suggests something awry. I can't quite put my finger on it.
Some fantastic news from Shaldon..... A world first! Endangered birth at the zoo! | Shaldon Wildlife Trust

Doris the Bengal Slow Loris has moved onto Berkshire Animal Management centre. Her companion at Shaldon (Kalo) will soon be joined by a male from Hong Kong once he finishes quarantine at Monkey World
The Douroucoulis have been mixed with the red titi monkeys. Four female squirrel monkeys have joined the two males. The three red-ruffed lemur offspring are all males. One red titi monkey baby and at least one yellow-breasted capuchin monkey infant, and possibly one red-bellied lemur born.
A female pygmy slow loris has recently arrived to join the male already at Shaldon. Information taken from the Trust's Facebook page.
Some more new arrivals at Shaldon - a female grey slender loris and a new female Owston's civet (the civet coming from Newquay). The arrival of the slender loris now makes Shaldon the only zoo in the world to work with breeding pairs of three different loris species. The Facebook post that mentions this news also states that the pair of Bengal slow loris have been displaying courtship behaviours this week.
A male green acouchi has arrived at Shaldon Wildlife Trust; he has gone on-show mixed in with the golden-headed lion tamarins. Information comes from the Wildlife Trust's Facebook page.
It seems so, from a reply made to a comment on the Facebook page. They also say that they believe this acouchi is the only individual of the species in the UK, so that could mean Newquay have now gone out of the species.
