@Zooish, I mean if you don't mind, would you please provide a species list of the Singapore night safari, I mean there has never been a species list of the Night Safari, and I reckon there is one for the zoo which is incomplete. And we all Zoochatters absolutely love a species list. So would you......

@Zooish, thanks a lot Zooish, I am so surprised that bongos are the only antelopes being held at the park currently and that is so disappointing! But the species list is very interesting! Thank you once again.

Is the night safari really this mammal centric?

Considering how there are few species of birds active in the night (especially those that are not owls) then I wouldn't expect too many birds.

I wouldn't expect fish in a self proclaimed safari park.

I'm surprised about the low amount of reptiles and amphibians, but as with fish I wouldn't expect to see one in a self proclaimed safari park. Plus, correct me if I am wrong, wouldn't most reptiles be inactive in the night because it being colder without sunshine.

Are these still housed next to the RRHogs/dholes/aardvark respectively or have they been moved?
Are these still kept in the old giraffe exhibit?
    Are all in Naracoorte Cave?
    Thanks.

Indian wolves have been phased out of WRS' collection.

Anoa are between the Malayan tiger and babirusa along the East Lodge Trail. RRH are currently not on display at Night Safari.

Bearded pigs are after the dholes on the tram ride.

Aardvark exhibit is the former serval exhibit. I believe you're thinking of bat-eared fox, which have been phased out (their former exhibit is empty now). Fennec foxes can only be seen during the Creatures of the Night show.

Ankole temporarily share (or time-share) an exhibit with Indian sambar. The old giraffe enclosure is closed for renovations to become an Indian rhino exhibit.

Yes all the invertebrates are in the cave.

They come after the elephants on the tram ride, in the West loop of the park.

2.0 Indian rhinos have indeed been added to WRS' collection, but I still have no information on where they came from.

I think think the Night Safari was always more geared towards rainforest S.E. Asian fauna. Bongo seem a bit out of place there. Would have fit better with the Zoo part.

This is all going to change soon with the new Zoo development.

@Zooish, so does the Night Safari exhibit Sunda slow loris, because their website says Javan slow loris? I always thought that the night safari has three species of slow loris, Bengal slow loris and the other two mentioned here.

WRS holds both Sunda and Javan slow loris, but I understand it is the Sunda that is displayed at Night Safari. The Bengals have died out.

Bongo might get relocated to the new Rainforest Park South, which will be largely (or perhaps entirely?) African themed.

Going forward Night Safari will focus less on Southeast Asian animals and more on true nocturnal species, save for the large ungulates seen on the tram ride. Hence the recent and upcoming collection changes to include more owls, South American species, and the upcoming displays of Tasmanian devils and kiwi. I understand WRS is keen to acquire aye-aye and night monkeys too, but I'm not sure how that is going.
