The last male passed away of natural causes around 2010 - 2012, if I’m not mistaken. However, blue duiker & Afropavo were featured on one of the artists’ concepts for the upcoming rainforest park, so... who knows? ;)

The species hasn't been around for quite a few years now.

There's a bit too much artistic freedom in the concept art. One of the artist's impressions for Rainforest Park shows Indri...

The artistic freedom is vast, but it does add some aesthetic charm to a lot of the concept art. The Southeast Asian concept even included some blooming titan arums, a personal favourite of mine.

Even tho it's highly unlikely for the species to be featured in real-life (unless done in a way similar to Fragile Forest's replica of Rafflesia arnoldii), it's still wonderful to witness it on the art concept.
Same for the pair of Afropavo, which I thought was quite a cool inclusion.

That's a shame. I have fond memories of the very friendly male blue duiker at Fragile Forest. It would be nice to see more 'mini' ungulates at the Mandai parks, besides the mousedeer species.

The Lee Kong Chian Natural History Museum has a decent replica of titan arum.

There are plans for Duikers, but they will be red forest and yellow-backed duikers, for RF South.
Congo Peafowl are slated for the new Bird Park.

This is the photo I took few weeks again in Singapore Zoo Common Crowned Pigeon. May I ask what is the species? Will it be Scheepmaker's crowned pigeon (Goura scheepmakeri)?
    Thanks.

Looks like a hybrid. Many of the crowned pigeons in Fragile Forest are hybrids.

may I ask one question about Gaboon viper in the zoo, it is Bitis gabonica or Bitis rhinoceros? The informaiton listed by zoo is B. gabonica, but from the photo, someone feel it should be B. rhinoceros.
    Thanks.
