A 10 years old female Bornean Orangutan (Pongo pygmaeus) called "Niu Li" has been transfered to Singapore Zoo from Taipei Zoo, to be pairing with a male from Hong Kong called "Wan Wan". This is a cooperation with SEAZA (South East Asian Zoos Association).

Its exciting to see Singapore Zoo import some new blood into their orangutan colony. As a young female, Niu Li should have many reproductive years ahead of her. :)

0.3 L'Hoest's Monkeys have gone on display at Primate Kingdom. They are sharing the same island at Primate Kingdom as Black and White Colobus Monkeys (the previous attempt to mix the Colobus with De'Brazza's Monkeys did not work out).

    Hello L’Hoest’s Monkeys

So are the De Brazza's monkeys off display now? Last I remember they were housed with the red-capped mangabeys who are now in the former Mandrill habitat

The De Brazza's have an island to themselves at Primate Kingdom. The Mangabeys were never mixed in and went straight to the old Mandrill exhibit.

A few small updates from the herp section:

The Western Tiger Salamander tank at the Fragile Forest herp room has been vacated (the salamander is now housed with the Amazon Milk Frogs). It is now being refurbished (perhaps for mantellas?).

The Ranger Station area at Reptopia has been cleared out to create more exhibit space (new paludariums i believe).

The section has recently received some Emerald Boas, Jungle Carpet Pythons and Black-headed Pythons. None are on display yet though.

What exhibit are the Greater Mouse-Deer housed in along the Treetop Trail? & what's the current lineup for the Primate Kingdom area, if anyone knows?
