    Yes Tarishi died the same day as Molasso.

    Joey is a proven breeder.

    And so Mobikisi is also a proven breeder. Why should he move?

    @John
    He did not die the same day and "Joey" is not a proven breeder....

    Well, when did die Tarishi and when did die Molasso?
    And why?

    Joey became father at Leipzig, I thought.

    "Tarishi": 08.08.2002
    "Molaso": 11.07.2002

    Unfortunately I do not know why....

    "Joey" never became father at Leipzig, that is a mistake of the studbook, "Limbuko" became father of "Luiza".

    BjoernN - many thanks for your well profounded information.

    I thought by DNA test Joey proved to be the father. But I will be wrong.

    Do you know when Rosie died? And why?
    They lost some of their bonobos.

    I got informed that Molasso died the same day as Tarishi; but I will be absolutely wrong.

    When you ask the bonobo keepers at Leipzig all of them say that Joey is the father of the little Luiza, and they all very glad about this.

    The first giraffe birth in Planckendael is a fact.
    On March 3, giraffe Diamond gave birth to a healthy son.

    The second giraffe was not expected before another 2 weeks. It seems biological synchronisation - which often happens in closely associated pregnant females - has done the job in Planckendael. I hope for a female offspring second time around (the first is definitely a male).

    The Press said that, they even compared it with the case of the Elephant baby in Blijdorp Rotterdam a few weeks back. But that is according to me a complete different case...

    Ow, here a studycase of the new Elephant exhibit of Plackendael, which they want to open in 2011!

    At the rightside (down) we see the lionexhibit...

    Ow, do you guys want some pics of the Girafbaby's?

    At last, there is also a new snowleopard, it is Kedar, born on 10.05.2006 at Sunset Zoo (Manhattan/Kansas, USA). Furter there are again some little capibara's and a little watusi cow... :)

    On 28 april 4 Bonobo's from Stuttgart arrived in Planckendael. Mother Lina (25), and the two sons Louisoko (11) and Lucuma (5) also, even with daugther Lingoyé (1,5). At this moment there are was not a exchange with Bonobo's back to Germany. :)

    At this moment they also annouce a second fase (fase one, the fence is already done) for the pettingzoo in Planckendael. A waste of money to my opinion, i am not a big fan of pettingszoo's in a zoo.

    Were can one find male bonobo Planckendael born Redy and Zamba?
    As known Apeheul has three male bonobo, Mobhy, Hongo and a third, besides the two recent born babies. What is his name?

    And of course, Hortense arrived with three sons, making the number of male bonobos four, three has left. Has Zamba or Redy left? To the USA? To Kongo? Italy? Germany? France perhaps, Monkey Valley?

    Euh, Redy and Hongo are in apenheul according to me... I have seem him last week there. My girlfriend has him even on the photo:

    So far as i could see, Hongo was there also. But the last one (Zamba or Mobikisi was hard to spot. Maybe i can answer you question at the end of the weekend.

    if you compare the picture with the bonobo on the tree (second picture with bonobo's) and the picture of Planckendael of there website, i think i have seem Redy... :)
    On the first link you can also see hortonse with Hongo...

    Gossip or suggestion:
    Zamba the escapist moved temporaly maybe?

    By the way, in a recent press article apenheul speaks of "3 of the 6 females are pregnant"... 6? That is if they don't count Hortonse?

    And who knows, maby ISIS is just wrong... :D

    No, no Zamba is present at Apenheul. Just like Mhoby and Hongo. There are there only three males (not counting one of the newborns).
    So Redy has moved. But where?
    Did I miss a press release?

    You are sure that the bonobo on that specific tree is Redy?
    Picture taken when?
    This week he no longer was present at Apenheul as they told me.
    For many weeks isis listed only three males. Redy has moved to somewhere else.
    Anyone who can figure out this mystery?

    On 2 august he was there according to my eyes. I don't think they have another male with the specific looks of the face like Redy...

    You say that the males there are Zamba, Mhoby and Hongo. Who is Mhoby? Is that a nickname for Mobikisi?

    Further i don't think that a bonobo in Apenheul would move a bonobo without telling this to the media. Certainly when he is propably the father of one or two of the baby's now...

    Mhoby is Mobikisi. I think so.
    Redy is not in Holland. He could be passed away.
    On the second of august you visited Apenheul. How many males did you see? And who?
    Have you seen Zamba, Mobikisi?
