Recently the smiley icons are not showing; all I see are gray squares. This is true both of the sample icons (to choose which one you want) as well as icons that are already embedded in posts.

    Works for me?

Do you have an ********** or something installed in your browser which might be blocking them (although I don't know why it would - they are just locally hosted images) ?

What browser / operating system are you using?

Well, it's not me having the problem :p I was just remarking that I am not having an issue and as such it isn't a problem with the site.

Yeah, I just realised that and deleted my response :p

So you can see the smileys in my first post okay - the one with the single row of them?

When you put a smiley in a direct post, all I see are gray squares (including the post right above this one. However when you quote your own post I can see them in the quote.

I was having the problem in Internet Explorer. I just reopened the site in Mozilla Firefox and now I can see them. So I guess I will just use Firefox from now on.

Just a day or two ago, I started having the same problem as Arizona Docent when I use the Chrome app on my phone. Oddly, it's not an issue when I use the Chrome browser on my laptop.

I haven't tried other browsers to see if they're doing the same thing because Chrome is the best :D

Again, most likely a caching issue - try clearing site storage in Chrome.

In Chrome on my phone I found it at: menu > Settings > Site settings > Storage > Clear Site Storage
