Can someone tell me where i can find a species list of the Bronx zoo? I know there are some partial lists on the forum but i was wondering if there was a complete one available especially one of birds?

Malayan Tapir, you beat me to it! Oh well, but I guess I'll specify on where to see those species.
Nubian Ibex and Gelada- Baboon Reserve
    Red BOP- World of Birds
Gaur, Chital, Hog Deer, Przewalski's Wild Horse- Wild Asia Monorail
Ebony Langur, Common Tree Shrew- JungleWorld
Frilled Lizard, False Gharial- World of Reptiles
    Nyala- African Plains
Maxwell's Duiker- Congo Gorilla Forest and Carter Giraffe Building
Ring-Tailed Mongoose and Mouse Lemur- Madagascar!
Malayan Tapir, where are the Cottontop Tamarins? I don't know where they went after the closing of the Monkey House. Are the Nilgai also on the Wild Asia Monorail as I didn't see them.

The Cotton Tops were in one of the cages running alongside the side of the Mouse house.

And the Nilgai were still on the Wild Asia Monorail. :)

jusko- Do you mean Rhim Gazelle when you typed Chim Gazelle? If so, Rhim/Sand/Slender-Horned Gazelle are in the African Plains.

This is the list I composed after visiting the zoo in June, September, and November of 2011. Many things have changed, though, and some (mabye many) animals may not be there anymore (ex. Chinese Alligators and Blesbok).
    https://sites.google.com/site/werrtydryytucf/bronx-zoo
You may still be interested as the list has 325 species on it just from the Bronx Zoo. The whole site has 696 seperate species/subspecies of animals seen by me at the Mystic Aquarium (2011), Maritime Aquarium (2011), Bronx Zoo (3x 2011), ZooAmerica (2012), Smithsonian National Zoo (2x 2012), Roger Williams Park Zoo (2012)*, soon to be completed Connecticut's Beardsley Zoo (2012)*, and soon the Central Park Zoo (yet to be visited).

*I need video tours of these two zoos. If you can find a video that has little to no talking by the cameraman, doesn't show the cameraman's family (once or twice is ok as long as he/she doesn't identify that it's his/her family), srictly shows the animals and very little of anything else, and doesn't have more than 1 or 2 picture images and no names of people or person filming then please post it. I know it's asking much but I haven't been able to find anything. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!:)

    Thank you, uszoo.

Does anybody know, when the Zoo has stopped keeping Orang-Utan and Chimpanzees ?

What happend to the old Ostrich house ? I guess, it was put down, but when ?

Another Question-why was the 1950 opened Penguin house destroyed, and when ?

    - The orangutans were part of the great ape house that opened in 1950. I believe they left in either the late 1960's or early 1970's. The zoo had them in early plans for Jungleworld but they were cut out of it. The chimpanzees i am not sure about but they probably left in the 1940's or 1950's.

    - The ostrich house was attached to the current mouse house and was built in 1904. It held various flightless birds until it was demolished in 2005.

I haven't seen them since 2011 and the signage has been taken down on their enclosure, which is usually either empty or has a male Lowland Nyala in it. On my last visit the enclosure was under construction.

Two more species which are still at the zoo but seem to be off-show are Maxwell's Duiker Cephalophus maxwellii and Malayan Tiger Panthera tigris jacksoni.

Also, there are now Angolan Colobus Colobus angolensis in CGF, though I'm unaware of the subspecies.
